Privacy & cookies
What we collect, why, and how to change your mind. If anything here is unclear, write to us at enquiries@motherludlamscave.com.
Who we are
This website is run by Mother Ludlam’s Cave, Moor Park, Farnham, Surrey. You can reach us about anything on this page at enquiries@motherludlamscave.com.
Enquiry forms
When you send an enquiry through the contact, filming or tours form, we receive what you type in: your name, email address, and, if you give them, your phone number, dates, how you found us and your message. The forms are handled by Netlify, the company that hosts this website, and a copy is sent to our email inbox.
We use these details only to reply to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to arrange your visit or shoot. We don’t sell them, share them for marketing, or add you to a mailing list. We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any booking that follows, then delete them.
Analytics cookies
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are, and which links and searches brought them here. This helps us see what is useful and what isn’t.
Google Analytics only runs if you press Accept on the cookie notice. If you press Decline, or ignore the notice, nothing from Google is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. If you accept, Google sets cookies named _ga and _ga_*, which last up to two years, and Google processes the information on our behalf, which may include outside the UK. We have not enabled advertising features.
You can change your choice at any time using the link at the foot of every page. If you decline after accepting, we remove the analytics cookies from your browser.
We remember your choice in your browser’s local storage so we don’t ask on every page. That record contains only “granted” or “denied”.
Videos
Some pages show videos from YouTube and Instagram. Nothing from those services loads until you press play. When you do, the video is fetched from them, and their own privacy policies and cookies apply. YouTube videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to enquiries@motherludlamscave.com and we’ll respond within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
